Bhopal Nair Samaj celebrated Onam 2026 with great enthusiasm, joy and traditional fervour on Sunday, 6 September 2026, at Mannam Bhawan, Bhopal.

The celebrations began with the traditional lighting of the lamp and prayer. Prof. Amitabh Saxena, Executive Director, Rabindranath Tagore University, Bhopal, graced the occasion as the Guest of Honour.

The programme beautifully reflected the spirit of unity, togetherness, inclusiveness and Kerala’s rich cultural heritage. The celebrations recalled the legendary reign of King Mahabali, symbolising compassion, prosperity, equality and happiness.

A vibrant cultural programme featuring the graceful Thiruvathirakkali, group dances and songs added colour and festive charm to the occasion.

The highlight of the day was the grand and traditional Onasadya, offering everyone an authentic and delightful taste of Kerala’s rich culinary heritage.

The event brought together Bhopal Nair Samaj members, their families and guests for a memorable celebration of Kerala’s culture, traditions and the enduring spirit of Onam.
